Richard A. "Richie" Huddleston, Jr, 53, died August 21, 2025 at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation Center. Richie was born August 13, 1972 in Hutchinson, KS, to Richard A. and Roberta (Kipp) Huddleston.

Richie was a lifelong Hutchinson resident. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved yorkie, Gizmo. He enjoyed watching wrestling and various car shows, going to the Kansas State Fair and was an avid collector of Hotwheels.

On May 8, 1998, Richie married Brenda Lee Matula in Hutchinson. They later divorced but remained close friends.

Richie is survived by: sons, Garrett Huddleston (Jamie Wonser), Hutchinson and Josh Redington, AK; daughter, Savannah Harris (Justin), Dover, AR; ex-wife, Brenda Matula, Hutchinson; sisters, Kristina Walden (Darrell), Hutchinson and Jacqueline Nobles, Oklahoma; and beloved yorkie, Gizmo; and many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, and an uncle, Jack Kipp, Sr.

Friends may sign the book Saturday 9 – 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 – 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. The family will greet friends Sunday August 24, 2025, at Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main St, Hutchinson, from 5 – 7 p.m.
