Richard "Don" Storm Sr., 74, died June 12, 2014, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born Dec. 23, 1939, in LaCrosse, Kan., the son of Richard Joseph and Edith (Linnenberger) Storm.
Don graduated from LaCrosse High School in 1957. He then served in the Army Reserves and the United States Navy. Don worked as a police officer for the city of Great Bend from 1961 to 1963. He retired from Jackson's Ice Cream, Hutchinson, after 21 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union #795.
On Feb. 14, 1961, he married Patricia Ann Struble. He later married Susan Moran on Oct. 9, 1976, in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: children, Rick Storm of Wilmington, Del., Lori Bengston of Inman, Mark Storm of Kansas City, Mo., Toni Landon and husband Terry of Hutchinson, Tracy Jenkins and husband Randy of Inman; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary and a book will be available to sign from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today through Sunday. A private family inurnment will be held in LaCrosse Cemetery.
