Richard W. "Dick" Gantz, 81, passed away Sept. 22, 2014, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 11, 1933, in Plevna, the son of Bryan and Sylvia (Moore) Gantz. Richard graduated from Nickerson High School in 1951. He worked for Cessna for 18 years and also as a truck driver for Dillon's for over 18 years.

On Feb. 15, 1959, he married Emylu Templeton, in Hutchinson. Survivors include: his wife, Emylu Gantz, Hutchinson; daughter, Tori (Jason) Regier, Buhler; grandson, Bryan Regier, Buhler; and brother, Donald Gantz, Nebraska.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at Buhler Mennonite Church, 220 W. Ave. B, with Pastor Willmar Harder officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
