Richard O. Wilson's Obituary
Richard O. Wilson, 81, died Feb. 13, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born May 11, 1924, in Burlington, the son of Richard O. and Chonita Watkins Wilson. A longtime Hutchinson resident, he was a retired plumber and pipefitter.
He belonged to Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Local No. 441.
On Aug. 13, 1946, he married Velma U. Bafus in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, John and Richard L. Wilson, both of Hutchinson; five daughters, Pam Emmerich, Sherry Nevius, and Susie Belt, all of Hutchinson, Julie Cutting, Olathe, and Connie Delg, Lawrence; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Bruce and Robert Wilson.
Private family graveside service will be held in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be private and the casket will be closed.
Memorials, in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Hutchinson Public Library, in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
