Rickey Duane Retterer, 74, of Hutchinson, died April 5, 2020, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born July 25, 1945, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, to Woodrow and Elizabeth (Scullin) Retterer.

Rickey graduated from Ridgemont High School, Ridgeway, Ohio, in 1965. He retired from Hutchinson Vending, in 2002. Rickey served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1972. He was a life member of VFW Post 1080, in Bellefontaine, Ohio. Rickey was a member of Park Place Christian Church, in Hutchinson.

On July 10, 1981, he married Renee Redinger, in Corpus Christi, Texas. They shared nearly 39 years of marriage.

Rickey is survived by: wife, Renee Retterer, Hutchinson; siblings, Ronnie Retterer, Kenton, OH, Shirley Jones, Corpus Christi, TX, Sharon Appleman, Newark, OH, Toni Pfister (Jerry), Kenton, OH, and Peg Herron, Kenton, OH; sister-in-law, LoaAnn Gibson, Hutchinson; several nieces and nephews; and his loving cats, Oliver, Bernie, and Jackee.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Gary and Terry Retterer; and sister, Sandie Middleton.

Cremation has taken place. Given the current situation concerning COVID-19, a burial will be planned for a later date.
