Ricky G. Elder's Obituary
Ricky G. Elder, 27, died June 29, 2012, at Fort Bragg, NC. He was born March 18, 1985, in Louisville, Ky., the son of Todd and Rosa Elder.
He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 2004 and served in the US Army, stationed in Fort Bragg, NC.
He married Erica B. Cone July 1, 2010, in Fayetteville, NC. Survivors include: his wife, son, Hayden Richard Elder, and daughter, Arleigh Sophia Elder, all of Columbus, Ga.; his mother, Rosa Morlock of Hutchinson; his father, Todd Elder of Jacksonville, Fla.; brothers, Chad Elder and Dylon Patten, both of Hutchinson; sisters, Danielle Barone of Tampa, Fla. and Emma Coy of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; grandmothers, Mary Beasley of Hutchinson and Dorothy Elder of Jacksonville, Fla.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gerald Erickson Sr. and Joseph Elder; and an uncle, Gary Beasley.
His casket will remain closed. Friends may sign the book prior to the service at Elliott Mortuary. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Dan Dalke officiating. Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ricky Elder Memorial Tree Fund, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
