Rita J. Curiel, 53, passed away June 13, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1959, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Manuel and Beverly (Boshears) Curiel Jr.

Rita graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1977. She later worked at Morton Salt. She is survived by: her father, Manuel Curiel Jr.; mother and stepfather, Beverly and Mahlon Stutzman; three brothers, Nick Curiel, Vic Curiel and Mike Curiel, all of Hutchinson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Manuel and Katherine Curiel Sr., and Albert and Lou Essye Boshears.

Memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with Senior Pastor Chris Raigoza presiding. Friends sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and until service time Saturday. Cremation has taken place.
