Robert "Bob" Alkire, 63, died April 14, 2009, at his home, Hutchinson.
He was born Oct. 1, 1945 in Urbana, Ill., to Patricia Louise Wadham. He graduated from Marysville High School in 1964.
On March 1, 1986, he married Sue Cook. She survives. Other survivors include two brothers, Thad and Tim Russell; sister Cathy Winkler; stepchildren Joseph Stropes and Beth Pisano; step sisters, Wanda Pierson and Martha DeWitt; six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Cremation has taken place. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Epilepsy Foundation in care of Elliott Mortuary.
