Robert William Bob "Mac" McFadden, 85, died October 12, 2012, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born October 14, 1926, in Nickerson, to William Joseph and Alice Mae Dodd McFadden. Bob graduated from Nickerson High School in 1944, and worked for Consolidated Manufacturing as a plant manager and consultant for 55 years. He was a Merchant Marine, a member of the American Legion, and First Presbyterian Church. On October 23, 1944, he married Matilda Ann Richardson in Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: children, Susan Saxton of Tucson, Arizona, Mike McFadden and wife Brenda of Frisco, Texas, and Amy Pounds and husband Udean of Angleton, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce Windle.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at the First Presbyterian Church, 201 E. Sherman, with the Reverend Jim Rhaesa officiating. Private family burial will take place in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Reno County, in care of the mortuary.
