Obituary

Robert Dean Bontrager, 63, died Jan. 31, 2010, at Hospice House.

He was born Feb. 2, 1946, in Reno County, the son of William E. and Polly Bontrager.

A lifetime resident of the Yoder/Hutchinson area, he worked for Betts Bakery before his retirement. He was a member of the bakery union, and greatly enjoyed NASCAR races.

He is survived by one sister; Amy and husband Kenny Bontrager, Sun City, Ariz.; three brothers; Earl L. and wife, Christina, Eldon and wife, Phyllis, and Larry all of Hutchinson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters; Roberta Dinges, Barbara Stokes and an infant sister. He also leaves behind his coffee friends and his cats, Sophie and Lucy who meant so much to him.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4th, 2010 at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with Chaplain Bob Phipps presiding. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Yoder Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Reno County in care of the mortuary.
