Obituary

Robert Luther Breidenstein, 102, died June 5, 2013, in Hutchinson. He was born Feb. 1, 1911, to Julius and Emma Maphet Breidenstein in Arlington, Kan. He was a 1930 graduate of Arlington High School. He retired from Cessna as a machinist and was a farmer and belonged to Arlington United Methodist Church.
On July 23, 1933, he married Hazel E. Birket in Abbyville. She died Nov. 22, 1992. Survivors include: daughters, Geraldine Gough and husband Melvin, Hutchinson, Kan., Patricia Herring and husband Carl, Montgomery, Texas, and Vera Oliver, Waterloo, Neb.; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers and long time friend, Mary Logan.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Warren Hett presiding with burial to follow in Arlington Cemetery, Arlington, Kan. Friends may call Friday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Hutchinson Public Library or to Donor's Choice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS, 67501.
