KINGMAN - Robert Fred "Bob" Crandall, 55, died May 2, 2008. He was born Dec. 30, 1952 at Hutchinson, to Fred N. and Georgia Moore Crandall.
He graduated form Kingman High School, and attended Southwestern College. Bob lived on the family farm most of his life. He was a self-employed contractor who was known and liked throughout the community. Friends described him best as a volunteer to the community. Whether it was as the local church or at a neighbor's down the road, if something broke, Bob was there to fix it. He was a loving son and dedicated to the continuing care of his mother.
Survivors include: son, Jason Fred Crandall of Seattle, mother Georgia Crandall of Hutchinson; sister, Martha Klassen of Wichita; he leaves behind many extended family members and many, many good friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Fred N. Crandall and a brother, James L. Crandall.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church, on 5th and Walnut, in Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Elliott Mortuary.
