Robert L. "Bob" Davis, 85, of Hutchinson, died December 3, 2022, at Good Samaritan, Hutchinson. He was born December 30, 1936, in Trousdale, KS, to Clayton and Stella (Pflieger) Davis.

Bob graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1956, and Hutchinson Community College in 1958.

He worked at Alcoa, in Colorado as a machine operator. Bob was known for being a very hard worker. At one point, he worked three jobs to provide for his two loving children; he was a very devoted father. After his children were grown, he enjoyed taking his grandchildren to the park. Bob liked taking care of horses and other farm animals. He was also known for being ornery and a jokester until his last day.

Bob is survived by: daughter, Sonja Frank, Golden, CO; son, Rodney Davis, Denver, CO; grandchildren, Quinton Frank (Jennifer), Paden, OK, Brock Frank, Colorado Springs, CO, Dylan Frank (Brittany), Centennial, CO; 7 great-grandchildren, Taryn, Noah, Finnley, Luke, Brayden, Dylan, Lincoln; sisters, Alice (Davis) Bahl, Hutchinson, Valetta (Davis) Hawn, Topeka; brother, William "Bill" Davis, Salina; loving caretakers, Laurie Lanning and Tyler Lanning.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Guthrie Davis.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, with Chaplain Jeff Owen officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
