Robert A. Duren, 88, died Dec. 5, 2010, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
He was born Sept. 10, 1922, in Hutchinson, the son of Elie and Martha Irene Davies Duren.
Robert was the headway master for the Kansas State grain department. He was a member of Crosspoint Baptist Church, formerly known as Westbrook.
On June 2, 1946, he married Rayma Mae Cogzill in Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Frank Davies of Hutchinson, Steve Duren and wife Geri of Rock Port, Mo.; sister, Helen Beckley and husband Jim of Omaha, Neb.; brothers-in-law, Allen Cogzill of Hutchinson and Herbert Zier of Mo.; sister-in-law, Frances Davies of Hutchinson; and many caring and loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Lee Duren; brother, Norwood Davies; sister, Mary Zier; and a sister-in-law, Pat Davies.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Karen Dalke presiding. Friends may call 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
