Robert E. "Bob" Watkins, 65, died Feb. 6, 2014, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. He was born May 4, 1948, in Hutchinson, the son of Sherman and Yvonne Redgate Watkins.

Bob graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1966. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He retired from Lowen Corporation after 20 plus years of service. Bob is survived by: daughters, Christie Miller of Hutchinson, Cindy Lutes of South Hutchinson, Bobbie Watkins of Hutchinson; brother, Edward Watkins of Pretty Prairie; sister, Mary Jo Swenson of Inman; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Gladys Hendershot, Ruth McHaley, Gwen Dick, Shirley Chambers, Judy Brazil; brother, Mike Watkins; and a granddaughter, Ashley Renee Watkins.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at the Fairlawn Burial Park Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy Honor Guard. The casket will remain closed. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
