Robert Eugene 'Bob' Smith, 61, died Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Schowalter Villa, Hesston, Kansas. He was born September 19, 1956, in Coffeyville, the son of Edmund Carl and Esther Ivanette (Kallenburger) Smith. He was a 1974 graduate of Newton High School, and had been a truck driver for over 30 years. Bob enjoyed spending his free time fishing, bowling or golfing.

He is survived by: his daughters, Christi Winchester and husband Jamie of Hutchinson, Jeanie Fulmer and husband Drew, and Traci Thiesen, all of Hesston; grandchildren, Jake and Luke Winchester of Hutchinson, Noah and Lily Fulmer, Tenley and Brynn Thiesen, all of Hesston; brother-in-law, Steve Behrendt of Hutchinson; nieces, Emily Sharma and husband Raj, and son, Ajay of Wichita, and Amelia Stunkel and husband Jeremy, and daughter, Elizabeth of Houston, TX.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Carla Behrendt; and son-in-law, Josh Thiesen.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at Crossroads Christian Church, 4310 N. Monroe, Hutchinson. Elliott Mortuary and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
