Robert F. "Bob" Lickey, 84, died December 7, 2013, at Harry Hynes Hospice. He was born August 9, 1929, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Alfred A. and Grace M. (Witters) Lickey.
He was owner and operator of Bob's Home Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning and worked for the Kansas State Wildlife and Parks Maintenance Department. Bob also worked for El Dorado Vickers Refinery, was a sexton and cemetery board member for Laurel Cemetery, and was a school bus driver. Bob was a member of the GWTA, the NRA, and the American Legion.
On October 19, 1952, he married Mary Ann Robinson in Haven. She died January 10, 2007.
Survivors include: daughters, Sandy Gilliam and husband Alan "Clay" of Hutchinson, and Kim Mar and husband Tony of Valley Center, owners of The Orient Restaurant; companion, Evalyn Beden of Haven; sisters, Betty Jean Woten, and Dorothy Stansbury of New Mexico; sister-in-law, Shirley Joan Robinson of Haven; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and grandsons, Matthew Alan Gilliam, and Daniel Craig Gilliam.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Haven United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Dr. Angela D. Washington officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Cemetery, Haven, with military graveside honors conducted by the United States Marine Corps. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday with family to receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Harry Hynes
