Robert D. 'Bob' Garvey, Jr., 64, of Delhi, CA, died September 22, 2023, at Hutchinson Health and Rehab, Hutchinson. He was born September 9, 1959, Mount Pilot, NC, to Robert Clark Sr and Elenore (Palmer) Garvey.

Bob studied gas turbine technology at California State University, Sacramento. Following college, he enjoyed working as a small engine repairman. Bob was a United States Army veteran. He was a loving and caring brother, grandfather, and friend to many. Bob enjoyed helping people, especially if they were going through a hard time.

In 1990, he married Sybil Caswell Butler, they shared 31 years of marriage before her passing on January 26, 2021.

Bob is survived by his: step-daughter, Marie (Tim) Herring, Atwater, CA, and three other step-children; granddaughter, Kristin Butler, Merced, CA; great-grandsons, Daniel and Jonathan Butler, Merced; sisters, Kelly Buchanan, Clovis, CA, and Vickie Clement, Citrus Heights, CA; one niece and nephew; and numerous friends who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Cremation has taken place; memorial service will be at a later date in California.
