ARLINGTON - Robert A. "Bob" Hewitt, 49, died April 14, 2010, at Hospice House in Hutchinson.
He was born Jan. 27, 1961, at Santa Fe, N.M., to Terry and Nancy Sobien Hewitt.
He moved to Arlington 11 years ago from Salina and was a self-employed welder. He attended Salina Central High School.
He married Kristina Knox Smith on Oct. 15, 1999, in Miami, Okla. She survives.
Other survivors: sons, Robert Jason Hewitt and wife Marinda, Bennington, Keith Hewitt, McPherson; daughter, Stephanie Hewitt, Salina; stepdaughter Kendra Smith, Hutchinson; his father, Terry Hewitt, Arlington; brothers Kenneth Dean and wife Rebecca, Salina, Scott Edwin, Gypsum; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his mother; and stepson Kyle Wayne Smith in 2008.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. Friends may call 1 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
