Robert G. LaClair, 61, died Jan. 24, 2012, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born Dec. 7, 1950, in Hutchinson, to Gene and Beverly (Beal) LaClair.
He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1968. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, Bob was a core purchaser at Consolidated Manufacturing from 1967-1992. He was a truck driver at Mid America Redi-Mix for 14 years and at Royer Brothers Tree Service since May 2008. Bob loved to spend time with his grandchildren and attend their activities. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and going to the lake.

On Dec. 16, 1967, he married Valarie L. Plouffe in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: son, James J. LaClair (Tasia) of Hutchinson; daughter, Darcy L. Mikels (David) of Northville, Mich.; mother, Beverly LaClair of Hutchinson; seven grandchildren, Allison, Taylor and Emily Mikels, Catherine, Jamison, Jace and Jaron LaClair; two brothers, Gary LaClair (Dana) of Hutchinson and Kevin LaClair of California; two sisters, Deborah Bigler (Emile) of Denver, Colo., and Kelley Munden (Steve) of Bradleyville, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Ronnie and Jimmy LaClair.

Graveside service will be noon Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson, with Father Joseph Eckberg presiding. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday, with the family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
