Obituary

Robert Charles McDaniel, 92, died October 27, 2018, at the Kansas Veterans' Home, Winfield. He was born October 26, 1926, in Baxter Springs, the son of Columbus and Cora (Nooney) McDaniel. Robert graduated from Riverton (KS) High School. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Robert worked for Borton Construction for many years before retiring in 1976. He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #982, V.F.W. Bob Campbell Post #1361, the N.R.A., the Republican National Committee, and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

On July 24, 1963, Robert married Maudie Marie (Dorian) Bolman in Sandusky, MI. They moved to Hutchinson in 1976. She died April 2, 2015.

Robert was preceded in death by: his beloved wife; parents; daughter, Roberta Black; brothers, Harold and Don; and sister, Mildred Dickten.

He is survived by: stepdaughter, Ruthann Harris of Wichita; stepson, Richard Bolman (Jackie) of Port Huron, Michigan; grandsons, Michael Harris of Wichita, Mathew Harris of Wichita, Scott Bolman of Chesterfield, Michigan, Hunter Black of Caulfield, Missouri; granddaughters, Danielle Bolman of Michigan, Ashley Black of West Plains, Missouri; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life with family and friends will be held at a later date.
