Robert Norquist, 80, died Aug. 16, 2016, at his home. He was born Sept. 8, 1935, in Hutchinson, to Elmer and Velma (Rich) Norquist.

Robert graduated from Plevna High School in 1953. He was a farmer and stockman all his life, living on the same section his entire life. Robert never sat down; he had to be on the go all the time. He was a member of CrossPoint Church.

Survivors include: sons, Bret Norquist and wife Gay of Hayward, Wis., Bart Norquist of Hutchinson; sister, Karen Rickett of Hutchinson; granddaughter, Kara Norquist and significant other J.D. Pruitt; grandson, Ryan Norquist; and great-grandchildren, Arianna and Lakin, all of Hutchinson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, 2016, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Jeffery Jones officiating. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The casket will remain closed.
