Robert Lee Ollenburger, 80, died March 4, 2016, at his home. He was born September 17, 1935, in El Dorado, to Arthur and Mary (Bolte) Ollenburger.
Robert graduated from Hillsboro High School and worked for Schmidt and Sons as a parts representative. After retirement, Robert worked as a groundskeeper at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center. He was a member of Grace Bible Church.
On August 25, 1961, he married Doris Beck in Sawyer, North Dakota. She survives.
Other survivors include: son, Brian Ollenburger and wife Julie, Joplin, Missouri; grandsons, Neil and Logan Ollenburger, Joplin, Missouri; sister, Delores Belous and husband Bill, McKinney, Texas; stepsisters, Marilynn Cox and husband Jim, Peabody, Karen Buchanon, Wichita; two nieces; two nephews; and two step-nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Dean Ollenburger.
Funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Grace Bible Church, 1221 E. 33 Ave., Hutchinson, with Dr. Rick Goertzen officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson, with Pastor Seth Ross officiating. Military honors will be conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. The family will be present to receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Grace Bible Church, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Grace Bible Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS.
