Robert H. "Bob" Ruebke, 71, died Jan. 23, 2007, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born July 13, 1935, in Haven, the son of Henry and Bertha Lentz Ruebke. He attended Hutchinson schools and graduated from Buhler High School. A lifetime Hutchinson resident, he was a retired truck driver.
He was of the Lutheran faith. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserve.
In 1961, he married Wilma Christner. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Robert Ruebke and wife, Jean, and Chris Ruebke and wife, Michelle, all of Hutchinson; a daughter, Sherri Cannon and husband, Bill, Hutchinson; two stepsons, Jerry Christner, Maize, and Randy Christner and, wife Sharon, Hutchinson; three brothers, Arnold, Arlington, Ronald, Colorado Springs, Glenn Ruebke and wife, Pat, Colorado Springs; two sisters, Linda Harker, Colorado Springs, and Darlene Phillips and husband, Slater, Colorado Springs; eight grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by a nephew, Russell.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Bob Albin presiding. Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today, 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Arlington.
