Obituary

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Robert S. "Bob" Twito, of Bloomington, Minn., died Oct. 31, 2010, in Mason City, Iowa.

He was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Lake Mills, Iowa, to Harry S. and Zelda M. Gettis Twito.

He was a Hutchinson resident from 1945 to 1965, then moved to several states before retiring to Bloomington, Minn. He graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1938. He was a retired project superintendent for R.S.T. Construction Consulting Services Company in Colorado Springs, Colo. He was a former member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hutchinson and a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Minn. He also had memberships at the VFW, American Legion and Sons of Norway. He was a WWII Navy Veteran.

He married Genevieve Epperson; she preceded him in death. Later he married Ada D. Yoakam on Nov. 6, 1961. She died June 30, 1998.

Other survivors include: daughters, Andrea Hutchinson and husband Hardy of Hutchinson; stepsons, Reverend Wayne Witcher of Lenexa, Kan., and Lowell Witcher of San Jose, Calif.; stepdaughter, Elaine Unfred and husband Martin of Lawrence, Kan.; brother, Jake Twito and wife Mae of Albert Lee, Minn.; sisters, Faye Rees of Des Moines, Iowa, and Lucille Henricks of Hubbard, Iowa; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; a special loving niece, Jo Livgaard and husband Paul; a nephew, Scott and wife Lynn Remsberg; a dear cousin, Fritz; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Bob Schweitzer, brother-in-laws, Dean Henricks and Lester Rees.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, at Elliott Chapel, with Pastor Robert L. Albin and Reverend Wayne Witcher officiating. Burial will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum. Friends may call 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
