ENID, Okla. - Robert L. Yutzy Sr., 72, went to be with his Lord on Dec. 2, 2006, at his home. He was born Sept. 23, 1934, in Nickerson, the son of Daniel and Mary Hochestler Yutzy. He grew up in Iowa, attending schools there. A former resident of Hutchinson, moving to Enid in 1999, he was a truck driver.

On Feb. 1, 1956, he married Ruth Whan in Topeka. She died March 20, 1962.

Survivors include: a son, Robert Yutzy Jr. of Goessel; a daughter, Lori Bernardo and husband, Lou Jr. of Wichita, and "special daughter" Sharon R. Redd of Wichita; two grandchildren, Michael Bernardo and Krysta Yutzy; three brothers, Paul Yutzy of Dolan Springs, Ariz., John Yutzy of Hutchinson, and Bill Yutzy of El Dorado, Ark.; two sisters, Elizabeth Adams of Holmes Beach, Fla., and Emma Miller of Hutchinson; and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Yutzy.

Memorial Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Connie Warrington presiding. Family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
