Roberta Jean "Bertie" Roesler, 82, died Jan. 29, 2015, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born July 26, 1932, in Mounds, Okla., to Leo and Leah (Kleweno) Hurt.

She married Wesley Allen Lawrence in 1955. He died in 1964. She then married Richard Roesler in 1967. He died in 2013.

Bertie worked as a sales clerk at Wal-Mart and Alco for many years. Survivors include: her sons, Randy Lawrence, Bruce Lawrence and wife Karen, and Bob Lawrence and wife Candy, all of Hutchinson; daughters, Machelle Willems and husband Mark of Hutchinson, Cheryl Wiggins and husband Stan of Mountain View, Ark.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Hendrickson of Hutchinson; and a brother, Leo Hurt Jr. of Inman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; sisters, Leona Hayden, Illene Richardson; and a brother, Bud Hurt.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with the family to receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter or to the American Cancer Society.
