Roger R. Berry, 71, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011.
He was born Oct. 10, 1939, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Mitchell and Dollie Berry.
He was a member of First Christian Church, a veteran of U.S. Air Force and had been a Hutchinson City fireman, Dillon warehouseman and retired in 1986 from the City of Hutchinson's waste water treatment facility.
On March 12, 1959, he married Diane J. Richards in Nickerson. She survives.
Other survivors include: three daughters, and their spouses, Teresa and Phillip Sloyer, Spokane, Washington, Tammi and Gerald Burton and Traci Herrell all of Hutchinson; a sister, Delores Price, Mesquite, Texas; five grandchildren, Mitchell Sloyer, Emily and Katy Sloyer, Justin and Kayla Herrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Blaine.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011, in Fairlawn Burial Park, with Reverend Jim Bell and Chaplain Bob Phipps officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by McConnell Air Force Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary and Crematory.
