Ronald Leon Bringle, 78, died April 6, 2006, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Jan. 8, 1928, in Fort Scott, the son of Robert and Ethel Hunsicker Bringle. He graduated in 1946 from Hutchinson High School. A resident of Hutchinson, moving from Chanute in 1992, he was a repeater technician for Southwestern Bell Telephone, retiring in 1991 after 42 years.
He belonged to Westside Baptist Church and was a former member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Elks Lodge and the Pioneers of America, all at Chanute. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
On Dec. 10, 1949, he married Imajuell J. Sumwalt in Hutchinson. She died Dec. 21, 1996. On May 8, 2002, he married Bonnie J. Simkins in Arizona. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, David and his wife Brenda, Chanute; two daughters, Barbara Hudson and her husband Brent, Wichita, and Teresa Bringle, Tulsa, Okla.; two stepdaughters, Rita Kramer and her husband Ronnie, and Christy Cochran and her husband Greg, all of Austin, Texas; a sister, Carolyn Maynard, Sarasota, Fla.; a grandson, Daniel James Workman; and a great-grandson, Kagan B. Cole.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Tim Adrian presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the family present from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
