Ronald "Ron" Edward Maggi, 81, died Aug. 1, 2016, at Thorne Care Center, Hutchinson. He was born March 28, 1935, in Springfield, Mo., to Leo and Agnes (Fuzzel) Maggi.

Ron graduated from high school in Springfield, Mo. He served in the Louisiana Army National Guard and the United States Air Force. Ron was an architectural draftsman and steel fabricator.

He is survived by: two daughters, Cheryl Maggi of Dallas, Texas, and Wendy Berry and husband Randy of Walterboro, SC; two sons, Ron Maggi Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Greg Maggi and wife Vikki of Walterboro, SC; a step-grandson, Brent McMillan of Walterboro, SC; longtime companion, Marie Henson of Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by: his father, Leo Maggi; his mother, Agnes Wood; stepfather, Don Wood; and sister, Tina Deckman.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Reverend Dr. Kim Biery officiating.
