Ronald LeRoy Engle, 93, died July 17, 2026 at Hospice House of Hutchinson. Ron was born January 21, 1933 to Byrl and Velma Smith Engle in Santa Ana, CA.

Ron and Martha “Angela” Mohatt were joined by God in holy matrimony, on April 7, 1956 in Costa Mesa, CA. They were blessed by God with five children, Rick Engle of Bend, OR, Mike Engle of Phoenix AZ and Marla (Henry) Blickhahn of Hutchinson; He was preceded in death by two sons, Matthew and Mitchell and by his wife Angela who was received into her eternal glory, almost ten years ago on November 2, 2016.

Together they had 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Ron was a union electrician of the IBEW for 65 yrs. Some of his accomplishments, among many, was to work on the John Wayne Orange County airport and helping bring Disney Land’s Space Mountain to life.

Ron enjoyed playing the violin and fiddle and was a member of the Kansas Oldtime Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers, Cow Creek chapter of Hutchinson.

Cremation was chosen and there will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice House or Meals on Wheels in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
