Obituary

Ronald "Ronnie" L. Schreiber, 68, died Sept. 18, 2013, at Hospice House. He was born Sept. 23, 1944, in Great Bend, Kan., to Clyde W. and Clenabel R. (Fox) Schreiber.

Ronald graduated from Rozel High School. He served in the United States Army. Ronald worked for Pella Windows as a service technician. He retired May 24, 2013.

On May 17, 1969, he married Linda K. Janzen in Hutchinson. She survives.

Other survivors include: son, Aaron Schreiber, and daughter, Michelle Chambers and husband Danny all of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Hanna Schreiber, Dalton Chambers, Maddie Schreiber, Dylan Chambers, Gracie Schreiber, Dallas Chambers, and Ashtyn Schreiber; brother, C.J. Schreiber of Anthony; sisters, Rose Kelsey and husband Gene of Ottawa, Anne Forst of Archie, Mo., Bobbie Schreiber of Hutchinson; and stepsiblings, Albert Castor of Hutchinson, John Gonzalez of Fairburn, Ga., Joe Castor of Leon, Kan., Gloria Valadez of Kingman. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and stepmother, Isabel Schreiber.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with Chaplain Bob Phipps officiating. Military honors will be conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard. A private family inurnment will take place. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with family to receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
