Ronald Dean O'Hara, 81, of Hutchinson, died December 11, 2021, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. He was born February 2, 1940, in Hutchinson, to William and Helen (Epperson) O'Hara.

Ron graduated from Partridge High School in 1958, and attended Hutchinson Community College, Emporia State University, Sterling College, and earned his bachelor's degree in 1963. He was a farmer and worked at the Partridge Co-op. Ron assumed many volunteer positions, including: the Cosmosphere, Hutchinson Public Library, Foster Grandparents for South Hutchinson Elementary, Partridge volunteer fireman, Partridge Community Church Treasurer, and Center Township Board. He was a member of Partridge Community Church.

On September 12, 1965, Ron married Judith Ann Grossardt, in Hutchinson. They shared 56 years together.

He is survived by: wife, Judy O'Hara, Hutchinson; daughter, Julie Edgar (WC), Phoenix, Arizona; son, Patrick O'Hara, Arcadia, Missouri; grandchildren, Savannah Edgar, Brooklyn, New York, Emily, Kate, and Kevin O'Hara, Farmington, Missouri; sister, Carol Pitzer, Springfield, Missouri.

Ron was preceded in death by: his parents; brother, Bill O'Hara; and sister, Marcy Henderson.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Partridge Community Church, with Pastor Sheridan Irsik officiating. Burial will follow in Partridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
