Ronda Lynn Hicks, 60, went to our Father's house Jan. 28, 2016, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Ronda was born May 20, 1955, in Pratt, to Donald E. and Barbara (O'Dell) Hudson.

She graduated from Pratt High School and Hutchinson Community College. Ronda worked 25 years for USD 308 as a custodian at Hutchinson Middle School- 7. She retired in June 2015. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Ronda enjoyed crocheting blankets, collecting cardinal birds and cross-stitching. She loved doing art projects with her granddaughter, Camille. Ronda was a member of Bethel A.M. E. Church.

On Feb. 9, 1973, she married Albert L. Hicks Jr., in Pratt. He survives. She is also survived by: son, Albert L. Hicks III; daughter, Dawn A. Hicks, both of Hutchinson; granddaughters, Kyla, Taiya, Camille, Faith Hicks; grandson, Aiden Stevens; aunt, Esther Burris and husband John of Derby; uncles, Everett Hudson and wife Jo of St. John, and Robert Hudson and wife Peggy of Louisiana; sisters-in-law, Mary and Anna Hicks; brothers-in-law, Howard Carter and wife Louise; and many nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; grandparents; a daughter, Aletha Hicks; two brothers-in-law, Orville and John Carter; and aunt, Virginia Maynard.

Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, in the Fellowship Hall at Bethel A. M. E. Church, 1001 E. 3rd, Hutchinson. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today through Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N.
