Rosalie J. Ballard's Obituary
Rosalie J. Ballard, 83, died Aug. 9, 2008, at Hospice House, Hutchinson.
She was born Jan. 11, 1925, in Mulberry, the daughter of Johnsie E. and Myrtle May Hamilton Williams. She graduated in 1943 from Mulberry High School. She was a homemaker.
She belonged to Park Place Christian Church.
On Nov. 15, 1945, she married Bill Ray Ballard in Pittsburg. He died May 5, 1985.
Survivors include: their children, Bill C. and Sharis Ballard, Buhler, Rick and Lana Ballard, Mick and Bonnie Ballard, Jerri and Ted Cook, and David Ballard, all of Hutchinson, and Nancy and David Bixby, Salina; a brother, Jack Williams, Bethany, Okla.; four sisters, Marilyn Neil, Hutchinson, Carol Hale, Waco, Texas, Deanna Shearer and Lana Casey, both of Claremore, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Steve, Jay, Brian and Ross Ballard, Jake Bixby, Cortney Alexander, and Ryan and David Cook; and three great-grandchildren, Jessie and Drew Ballard and Marisa Cook.
She was preceded death by an infant son Tom, and brothers, Clifford and George Williams.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday Aug. 13, 2008, at Park Place Christian Church, with Pastor Kim Biery presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park.
Memorials may be sent to the church, Hospice House, or Hospice Care of Kansas, all in care of the mortuary.
