Rosalie Ann Spaniol, 68, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012. She was born March 18, 1944, in Florence, the daughter of Albert and Alice Stamp Uphoff.
She was a member of New Life Christian Church, Esther Rebekah Lodge #458, LAPM #21, LEA #32, all of Hutchinson, IOOF #248 and LEA #98 both of Pratt. Rosalie was a cashier at Target for over 10 years retiring in 2005.
She was first married to Wesley Landes in 1960. They divorced. Then on Sept. 12, 1975, she married Billy Lee Spaniol, in Newton. He survives.
Other survivors include: her children and stepchildren, Gary (Teresa) Landes of Hutchinson, Jeff (Kendra) Landes of Iowa City, Iowa, Sherri Landes of Hutchinson, Heidi Moore of McPherson, Holly Williams of Hutchinson, Melody (Charles) Vest and Cindy (Mike) Renollet, both of Arlington, and Terry Spaniol of Hutchinson; her mother of Hutchinson; two brothers, Albert Uphoff of Belleville and Melvin Uphoff Sr. of Hutchinson; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; and her daughter, Rochelle Landes.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Elliott Chapel with Pastor John Frey officiating. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
