Obituary

Rose Mary DeBruler Love, 90, died Oct. 24, 2011, at Pleasant View Home, Inman. She was born Jan. 28, 1921, in Hutchinson, the daughter of John Rueben and Anna (Westermen) DeBruler.

She graduated from Kansas State College and continued her teaching education at Emporia State Teachers College. Rose Mary taught school at Allen Grade School and later was an executive assistant for Mr. Kenneth Sentney. Rose Mary was an avid crocheter, making stocking caps for the local hospital to fit infants and First Call for Help for school children. On Aug. 19, 1947, she married Kenneth Wayne Love in Hutchinson. He died Jan. 11, 2008.

Survivors include: a son, Jeffrey Love of Hutchinson; a daughter, Kay Love Duncan of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, Deverel and Hannah Rose Duncan of Austin, Texas; niece, Beverly Love Hetzel and husband Eldon of Wichita; nephew, Larry Rayl and wife Dee of Hutchinson, also nephews, Stephen Love, Randi Bird, Randy Love and Mike Love. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Carolyn Rayl and Dorothy Bird; and a brother, John DeBruler.

Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to First Call for Help or the Elmdale 50 + Center Crochet Angels, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, Hutchinson.
