Rosemary "Rosie" Sandoval, 85, died July 21, 2024, in Baker, FL. She was born June 13, 1939, in Hutchinson, to John "Johnny" and Helen (Cordova) Garcia.
Rosie graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1957, and Salt City Business College. She worked as legal secretary for Branine-Chalfant and Hill. Rosie was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. She enjoyed shopping with friends, going to casinos, watching Hallmark Christmas movies and spending time with her family.
On January 20, 1962, she married Arturo Sandoval Jr. They shared over 55 years of marriage, prior to his death on March 12, 2017.
Rosie is survived by: sons, Rick (Charolette) Sandoval of Baker, FL, David (Michelle) Sandoval of Hutchinson, Mark (Val) Sandoval of Wichita; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Carol (John) Perez, John (Mary) Garcia, Christina Wolenhaupt and Betty Iverson, all of Hutchinson, and Daryl Bentson of Omaha, NE.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; grandsons, Rion Sandoval and Isaac Sandoval.
Parish Rosary will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Saint Teresa Catholic Church, 211 E. 5th Ave., Hutchinson. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson. Family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Saint Teresa Catholic Church. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, at Elliott Mortuary. The casket will remain closed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Saint Teresa Catholic Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
