Roy L. Blick's Obituary
Roy L. Blick, 76, died Aug. 7, 2008, at his home.
He was born July 17, 1932, at Hutchinson, the son of John and Grace Kennedy Blick.
He was a resident of Hutchinson since 1982, after retiring. He was a 1951 graduate of St. Teresa High School, Hutchinson. He retired as air traffic controller; Indianapolis Center, in 1982.
He belonged to the Church of the Holy Cross. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #612. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He and his wife Janet were married in 1967. She survives. Other survivors include: sons, Anthony (Tony) Blick, Tokyo, Japan, Brian Blick, Chicago, Ill., and Steve Blick, Wichita; brothers, Maurus Blick, Topeka, Tom and wife Joyce, Hutchinson, Fred and wife Norma, South Hutchinson; and sisters, Sr. Carmelita Blick, Wichita, Sr. Noella Blick, Wichita; sister-in-law, Treva Blick, Hutchinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sr. Joan Blick, and brother, John Blick.
Parish Rosary will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at Holy Cross Church, Hutchinson followed by the funeral at 10 a.m. Father Joseph Eckberg will be officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
Memorials may be sent to Church of the Holy Cross or Knights of Columbus Council #612, in care of the mortuary.
