Obituary

Roy E. Webber, 97, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017, at Wheatlands Health Care Center in Kingman. He was born April 27, 1919, in rural Reno County to Frank M. and Mabel C. (Kelman) Webber. Roy graduated from Kingman High School in 1937.

He was a farmer in the Arlington area for many years, as well as the owner of Webber Construction Company, building and remodeling homes and businesses. Roy also served for many years on the Loda Township Board, Arlington City Council and president of Arlington School Board. He enjoyed bowling, even sponsoring his own team.

Roy married Phyllis E. Ewing on June 2, 1940. She survives.

Other survivors include: daughters, Kay Fountain and husband Jack of Arlington, and Jean Richert and husband Willi of Valley Center; grandchildren, Jeff Fountain and wife Debbie of Arlington, Angela Androes and husband Nelson of Durham, N.C., Tiffani Sorrells of Wichita, and Kristofer Richert of Park City; great-grandchildren, Michelle Fountain, Sean Stejskal, Tyler Stejskal, Brennan O'Callaghan, and Ariana O'Callaghan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Earl Webber.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Willi Richert officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery, Arlington. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Memorials may be made to Wheatlands Health Care Center, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
