Rubina Regier's Obituary
Rubina Regier, 93, died Jan. 21, 2008, at Pleasant View Home, Inman.
She was born Oct. 14, 1914, in Burrton, the daughter of Cornelius F. and Sarah Peters Friesen. She graduated from Buhler High School. A resident of Hutchinson since 1942, moving from Moundridge, she was a homemaker, and a salesperson at Ben Franklin, Duckwalls and Skaggs.
She belonged to the First Mennonite Church, and the Women of the Moose Hutchinson Chapter No. 1371.
On April 10, 1937, she married Otto J. Regier in Moundridge. He died March 30, 1982.
Survivors include: two sons, Kenneth, South Hutchinson, and Jerold "Jerry", Temecula, Calif.; a daughter, Shirley Steinbach, Holden, Mo.; three sisters, Esther Friesen, Hutchinson, Selma Royce, Twin Falls, Idaho, and Fern Smith, Ogden, Utah; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Mennonite Church, with Pastor Debbie Schmidt presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Buhler Municipal Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the First Mennonite Church, or Pleasant View Home, both in care of the mortuary.
