Ruby M. Greenfield's Obituary
Ruby M. Greenfield, 84, died July 11, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Aug. 6, 1923, in Inman, the daughter of Henry and Olga Schmidt Pauls. She graduated from Inman High School in 1941. A lifetime Hutchinson area resident, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Grace Episcopal Church, was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, was an avid Bridge player, and belonged to the Carey Park Ladies Golf Association.
On Nov. 4, 1944, she married W.G. "Bill" Greenfield in Wichita. He died May 22, 1997.
Survivors include: a son, Barry and wife Ann, Denver; a brother, Kenneth Pauls, Hutchinson; three sisters, Delores Giles, South Hutchinson, Marna Sanders, Indiana, and Norma Gordon, Tampa, Fla.; and two grandsons, Timothy Downing Greenfield, and Geoffrey Thomas Greenfield and wife Jenna, all of Denver.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and six brothers and sisters.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Grace Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Michael P. Milliken presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Grace Episcopal Church, in care of the mortuary.
