Ruby E. Ragsdale's Obituary
SYLVIA - Ruby E. Ragsdale "Grandma," 101, died Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at her home in Sylvia.
She was born July 5, 1908, in Nashville, Kan., to Loran Albert and Maude Harris Gillett. She was a homemaker.
On Dec. 16, 1934, she married James O. Ragsdale in Wichita. He died Oct. 28, 1976.
Survivors include: three sons, Jim and Don, Hutchinson, and Bob, Wichita; a daughter, Sue Ragsdale, Sylvia; a son-in-law Phil Vigo, Sylvia; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth West.
Memorialservice will be at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Randall Turner presiding. Burial will be at Old Mission Cemetery, Wichita.
Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Kansas in care of Elliott Mortuary.
