Ruby Joyce Tipton, 75, died March 3, 2016, at her home in South Hutchinson. She was born July 30, 1940, in Washington, KS, to Howard Eugene and Florence Merle (Martin) Cundiff.

She was an LPN and had worked as a nurse at various nursing homes prior to her retirement.

On December 30, 1956, Ruby married Gary Carl Tipton in Kingman. He died September 18, 2007. Survivors include: children, Dale Tipton of Hutchinson, Corinna Hamilton of Wichita, Tony Tipton and wife Susan of South Hutchinson, and Greg Tipton and wife Gracia of Wichita; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and son, Brian Tipton.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Matt Stafford presiding. Burial will follow in Laurel Cemetery, Haven. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
