Russell L. Fager's Obituary
Russell L. Fager, 80, died Aug. 2, 2008, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Feb. 10, 1928, in Pratt, the son of Joseph Franklin and Josephine Maggie Thompson Fager. He graduated from Pratt High School in 1946. A longtime resident of Hutchinson, he retired in 1991 after 32 years with Cessna Fluid Power/Eaton Corporation.
He belonged to the First Church of God and the Young at Heart Club.
On March 21, 1948, he married Joan Hayes in Hutchinson. She survives. Other survivors include: three sons, Dann, Fort Worth, Texas, Don and wife LaDonna, Hutchinson, and David and wife Julie, Olathe; a daughter, Pat Muntz and husband John, Dexter; two brothers, Vearl, and Ted, both of Hutchinson; two sisters, Ellen Mathias, Hutchinson, and Maggie Klassy, Rapid City, S.D.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Fager; four brothers, Melvin, Paul, Donald, and Earl; and a sister, Opal June Fager.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Church of God, Seventh and Jefferson, Hutchinson, with Pastor John J. Carney presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.
