Ruth Anne "Sweetie" Swanson, 75, passed away Dec. 3, 2014, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 6, 1939, in Hutchinson, to Harold R. and Eva Mella (Baldauf) Swanson. Ruth worked for Winchester Packing Company for many years and McDonald's for 13 years.
On Oct. 12, 1970, she married Floyd Logan Jr., in Hutchinson. He passed away Oct. 19, 1995.
Ruth is survived by: sister, Jackie Symonds (Jimmy) of Hutchinson; brother, Gerald Swanson (Bonnie) of Pahrump, Nevada; children, Shirlinda Swanson of Hutchinson, Daniel Swanson of Pittsburg, Sharlotte, Mesha (Willie Oliver), Regina, David, Anthony Logan, all of Pittsburg, Floyd, Richard Logan, both of Hutchinson, and Curtis Logan of Memphis, Tennessee; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, sister, Virginia Stubby, and daughters, Sherrie, and Audrey Logan.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at Elliott Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Reverends William J. Green, Sr. and Charles Crumble officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
