Ruth A. Dehm, 87, died April 26, 2008, at Buhler Sunshine Meadows Retirement Community. She was born Aug. 31, 1920, at Cincinnati, Iowa, the daughter of William Samuel Robert and Alta Belle Harrelson Hamilton.

She was a Hutchinson resident, and graduated form Green City, Mo., High School. She was a buyer for the children's department at Wiley Department Store for many years. She was a charter member of the Faith United Methodist Church. On June 13, 1938, she married George Michael Dehm Jr. in Linneus, Mo. He died Sept. 21, 1979.

Survivors include: son, Paul D. Dehm and wife Joyce, Hutchinson; daughter, June Cross and husband Richard, Hardtner; brothers, Leo Robert Hamilton, Kansas City, Mo., Russell Dean Hamilton, Apache Junction, Ariz.; sisters, Cleo Belle Callahan, Olathe, Frances Helen Higdon, Belleville, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, William H. Hamilton, Glenn L. Hamilton, Charles E. Hamilton, Marvin E. Hamilton; and one sister, Nettie H. Hamilton.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Pastor Ron Kite presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Thursday at Elliott's Mortuary, with family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.
