Ruth J. Ebersole, 74, of Hutchinson, died October 20, 2017, at Via Christi on St. Francis, Wichita. She was born January 17, 1943, in Meade, to Henry R.C. and Anna F. (Reimer) Classen. As a teenager, Ruth accepted Jesus as her Savior. She attended Grace Bible Church. She retired as a human resources workmans comp clerk for Kwik Shop Corporation and Sedgwick CMS. Ruth was a Harley Motorcycle enthusiast. At the age of 60, she decided she no longer wanted to be a passenger on a Harley so she bought her own and learned to ride. She was a K-State fan and loved the outdoors.
Ruth is survived by: daughters, Brenda Young and husband Myron of Hutchinson, Wendy Kitchen and husband Blaine of Rochester, MA; son, Lynn Ebersole of Hutchinson; grandchildren, Brian (Angel) Schmitz, Kyle Ebersole, Kyleigh Ebersole, Harlee Ebersole, Tori Ebersole, Kristen Ebersole; extended grandchildren, Cody, Ravi, Ashton, Peyton; great-grandson, Harvey Todd Schmitz; sisters, Irene (Charlie) Armstrong, Anna Joy (Jake) Troyer, and Wilma (Larry) Miller; and other extended family, Ronni Baldwin and Susan Bort.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry R.C. Classen and mother, Anna F. (Classen) Jantz.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Memorial Park Cemetery, Hutchinson. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday with family to receive friends from 6-8 p.m. at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
