Ruth Wilbur Lindt, 81, died Feb. 21, 2015, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born Nov. 22, 1933, in Wichita, the daughter of Lawrence and Anna (Wilson) Wilbur.

Ruth was a 1951 graduate of Wichita North High School and went on to graduate from Friends University in 1955. After college, she taught elementary education in the Wichita public schools. She loved teaching the first graders.

Ruth married Donald D. Lindt on Aug. 25, 1956, in Wichita. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, PEO Chapter CM, United Methodist Women and the Church Circle, GEMS, Sewing Club, Bridge Club, Delta Rho Alpha Nu Sorority and a volunteer with the Hutchinson Hospital Auxiliary.

Ruth is survived by: her husband, Don; daughter, Kathy Gifford of Overland Park; son, Mike Lindt and wife Tami of Haven; sister-in-law, Marjorie Campbell of Levelland, Texas; four grandchildren, Tiffany Miller, Justin Dirks, Michael and Allison Lindt; three great-grandchildren, Carson and Coen Miller and Quinn Dirks. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant son, Mark Lindt.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 17th & Main Street, Hutchinson, with Reverend Mike McGuire and Reverend Jim Rhaesa officiating. A private family graveside service will be held prior to the memorial service. Friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Kansas or Hospice of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
