DUE TO EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES, THE ROSARY AND MASS HAVE BEEN MOVED TO 3:30 AND 4:00 P.M. FRIDAY.
Ruth Marie Martinie, 73, of Hutchinson, died February 13, 2022, at her home. She was born February 7, 1949, in Hutchinson, to Richard J. and Mary (Urban) Webb Jr.
Ruth graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1967 and Hutchinson Community College in 1969. She lived in Arizona, where she raised her daughter, sold real estate, renovated homes and managed a winter visitor resort. Ruth returned to Hutchinson in her retirement to be closer to family. She was very active, and loved working outdoors. Ruth appreciated a good project and a hot cup of coffee. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.
Ruth is survived by: daughter, Abby Martinie of Oakland, California; son, Matt Souba (Trudy) of Wichita; grandchildren, Linkon and Dominik Souba, Olivier and Bijou Martinie; mother, Mary Webb of South Hutchinson; siblings, Richard Webb III of Walker, Catherine Hixon of Hutchinson, Patricia Best (Harlan) of Hutchinson, Barbara Webb of Oklahoma City, Fran Webb-Ronnau (Robert Ronnau) of Mesa, AZ, Christine Webb of Mesa, AZ, Rita Carpenter (Kris) of Colwich, Mary Walker (David Cunningham) of Kansas City, David Webb of South Hutchinson, Daniel Webb of South Hutchinson; and numerous extended family members.
She was preceded in death by: her father; a sister, Vivian Sorenson; and nephews, Brian Sorenson and William Grimes.
Cremation has taken place. Parish Rosary will be 3:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 4:00 P.m., Friday, February 18, 2022, both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson. Friends may sign her memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Elliott Mortuary.
